Vanilla!  Who doesn’t love it? TeBella Tea Company Madagascar Vanilla is a luxurious blend of rich black tea and fragrant vanilla. Though the smell and taste of vanilla is strong, it doesn’t overwhelm the tea, nor does it become perfume like. The earthy, malty flavors from the black tea mesh well with the scent of vanilla. This tea is not at all sweet, which I love! I found it very tasty by itself, but adding a touch of sweetness may intensify the vanilla flavors.

To up the festive factor, because that’s what the first 24 days of December are for (right?!), I added some eggnog in place of milk and sugar. Let me tell ya, it was Christmasy! Think Christmas cookies! Yum. Don’t get me wrong, you can enjoy this tea all year-long, but the addition of eggnog makes it a great seasonal treat!

This is a very yummy black tea with nice authentic vanilla flavor. If you like your black tea with milk & honey the vanilla flavor is a nice addition. Also, maybe it’s because we just reviewed a tea with chocolate but I decided this would be tasty mixed with cocoa. I actually used unsweetened baking powder with honey and it was nice and chocolatey. The vanilla & cocoa were delicious together — highly recommended!

I though the flavor was really nice and well balanced. Then, I remembered that we’ve reviewed this brand before! Check out our review of their key lime tea as well. With two successes, we’ll have to keep trying more of their teas!
